Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Support for Your Patients

Would you like to refer patients for an oral and maxillofacial surgical procedure, implant treatment, CBCT diagnostics or specialist assessment?

At our private oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Vienna’s 6th district, we support referring colleagues with careful diagnostics, clear communication and a structured surgical treatment concept.

Our goal is a collegial collaboration on equal terms: together with you, we determine the appropriate treatment pathway, evaluate possible alternatives and carry out the requested treatment within the scope of our surgical services.

Your patients will, of course, remain your patients.

Which Cases Can You Refer?

You can refer patients to our practice for the following services, among others:

  • Implant planning and implant placement
  • Bone augmentation and sinus lift
  • Wisdom tooth removal
  • Surgical tooth extraction
  • Apicoectomy
  • Biopsy and assessment of changes to the oral mucosa
  • Exposure and bonding of impacted teeth
  • CBCT diagnostics
  • Treatment of acute cases
  • Abscesses
  • Dental trauma
  • Iatrogenic injuries
  • Oral surgical second opinion or specialist assessment

If you are unsure whether a referral is appropriate, please feel free to contact us in advance. We will clarify together whether an appointment at our practice is recommended.

Your Patients Remain Under Your Care

Reliability is particularly important for referring colleagues. That is why we place great value on transparent communication and a clear referral back to your practice after completion of the surgical treatment.

Further dental care will, of course, continue in your practice.

Upon request, you will receive relevant information about the treatment, diagnostic documents, recommendations for further care or a brief update on the procedure performed.

This creates a collaboration that is clear, safe and easy to plan for everyone involved: for you, for us and, above all, for your patients.

How the Referral Process Works

1. Referral via the Form

You can use the referral form to submit patient data, the requested service, the region/tooth area and relevant information regarding the clinical question.

Please also indicate in the message field whether X-rays, CBCT scans, findings or special medical notes are already available.

2. Review and Appointment Scheduling

After receiving the referral, we review the information provided and arrange a suitable appointment depending on the clinical question.

In cases of acute pain, abscesses, dental trauma or urgent surgical concerns, we kindly ask you to contact us by phone in addition to submitting the referral.

3. Diagnostics and Treatment Planning

Depending on the initial situation, we supplement the existing diagnostics, for example with CBCT or cephalometric imaging.

We then discuss the possible treatment options and carefully weigh surgical and, where appropriate, non-surgical alternatives.

If desired, treatment planning can also be carried out together with you at our practice.

4. Treatment

Treatment is performed according to the medical indication and within the scope of our surgical services.

Depending on the procedure and the patient, treatment can be carried out under local anaesthesia, with oral sedation or, upon request, under general anaesthesia.

5. Feedback and Referral Back

After completion of the surgical treatment, further care will continue in your practice.

Upon request, you will receive feedback on the treatment performed and any recommendations for further care.

Diagnostics and Surgical Treatment from a Single Source

Our practice offers modern diagnostic options and a broad spectrum of oral surgical treatments.

If required, we supplement the existing diagnostics with cone beam computed tomography or cephalometric imaging. This supports precise treatment planning, particularly in cases involving implant placement, bone augmentation, impacted teeth, complex tooth extractions or unclear findings.

Depending on the medical situation and the patient’s preferences, surgical treatment can be performed in different ways:

  • Local anaesthesia
  • Oral sedation
  • Treatment under general anaesthesia after appropriate planning

This allows even more complex procedures to be carried out in a structured, safe and patient-oriented manner.

Referral for Acute Cases

In cases of acute pain, abscesses, dental trauma or iatrogenic injuries, we kindly ask you to contact us directly by phone.

This enables us to quickly assess how urgent the appointment is and which next steps are appropriate.
