3D Navigated Implantation

What is 3-D Navigated Implantation?

A few years ago, 3D-navigated implant placement was still unthinkable for implantologists in private practice and was mainly used experimentally at university clinics.

Today, with the use of modern 3D X-rays (DVT), this is also easily possible in the dental practice. Thus, we provide our patients with uncomplicated access to this treatment option.

What does the process look like?

  • Determination of the treatment plan
Preparation of 3D X-ray (DVT) and intraoral scan
  • Planning the position of the implants and the future dental crowns
  • The data from the 3D X-ray are overlaid with the data from the intraoral scanner
  • Production of a drilling template with exact implant position
  • Performing the surgery

What are the advantages of 3D navigated implantation?

  • Faster and safer performance of the procedure
  • More suitable for patients on blood thinning medication
  • Less risk to adjacent structures such as tooth roots and nerves

3-D Navigated Implantation

The 3d-navigated implantation in no way replaces skill and experience. It is merely an aid to safely manage particularly tight anatomical situations. The 3d-navigation offers a good support to work with minimally invasive surgical approaches.
